Civic Links between City of Bangor in Gwynedd, North Wales and May Pen, Clarendon, Jamaica

In June 2018, Learning Links International Director, Liz Millman, spent time in Jamaica exploring possibilities for the links between the two communities, that have so much shared history. 

The links are now being forged with emails and online communication, as well as through the visit of the Jamaican High Commission team to Bangor in August 2018. 

The visit was very successful and set a new standard to the link. 

The North Wales Jamaica Society still maintains links with Clarendon Council, but Bangor Council has not been able to really develop this link in a meaningful way.
